  • I have been trained on Fuji's XMF workflow and use it on a daily basis.

  • Became proficient with Impostrip to create layouts for all sheetfed presses.

  • One of three persons hired to set up the electronic pre-press department at Constable-Hodgins Printing Company.
  • My position as network administrator included archiving files and networking of the pre-press system.
  • Became efficient with the Kodak Brisque workflow after the creation of Greystone Graphics, (a merger of Constable-Hodgins and Vile-Goller Fine Arts).
  • Within the Brisque framework, my duties included: working with Preps Imposition Software, using various high-resolution printers, image-setters and direct to plate systems.
  • Worked directly with customers to ensure their satisfaction and answer any questions concerning their files.
  • Greystone Graphics has sheet-fed and web presses.

 

The Lowell Press, Kansas City, MO - 2nd Shift Supervisor                                                   
March 1989 – July 1994

  • Hired on as a journeyman stripper, advanced to 2 weeks.
  • Moved into the technical side of pre-press with the joining of electronic pre-press and manual stripping departments.
  • Became one of only two people trained on a Kodak Prophecy System (OPI system) in July 1992.
  • Worked with electronic photo color correcting, file management, drum scanning and image-setter calibrations.
  • The Lowell Press was a sheet-fed printing plant.

Gunthrop-Warren, Chicago, IL - 4-color Stripper
 October 1988 – January 1989

  • Hired to supervise the 3rd Shift.
  • Financial troubles that I was not aware of forced bankruptcy after only 3 months.

 

American Signature Graphics, Dallas, TX - 4-color Stripper
 March 1985 – October 1988

  • Made plates and proofs from flatted film. Quality was a must. Learned and excelled as a four-color stripper. Duties included flat stripping, checking in furnished flats, combine stripping, film contacting.
  • Misomex step and repeat operator. Responsible for the covers of over 20 monthly publications.
  • Created film and plates for sheet-fed and web presses.
